The Swanee Theatre Presents: Abbey Road Live

The date was Feb 9, 1964. Four young lads from Liverpool, England appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and America was changed forever. Beatlemania had struck in full force. The music of the Beatles would come to define the Sixties, and would influence nearly every rock band, singer and songwriter for the next 60 years.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Beatlemania, the four lads from Athens GA known as "Abbey Road LIVE!" will tackle the entire "The Beatles 1962-1966" album compilation known as "The Red Album".

This double LP covers the first half of the Beatles recording career, highlighting their early pop classics such as She Loves You, Please Please Me and All My Loving. It then carries the listener through the Rubber Soul/Revolver era, where songs like Paperback Writerand Eleanor Rigby prefaced the psychedelic recordings to come.

The "Red Album" (released in 1973) was instrumental in introducing Beatles music to millions of new fans, ensuring the Fab Four's continued legacy as the pop music landscape changed during the '70s, '80s and beyond.
